7.2cA- Pag i 25 m INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST
EXCERPT FROM STORMWATER MANAGEMENT PLAN SECTION
6. BMP MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE
A monitoring and maintenance program is an essential element of a long-term stormwater
management plan. The following section provides a summary of the main elements of the
monitoring and maintenance program for the project site.
6.1 Objectives
The monitoring and maintenance program has the following goals:
• To monitor all BMP's to assess whether they continue to function as appropriate
mitigation for the effects of urban non-point source pollution on receiving waters in a
manner consistent with the highest regard for public safety;
• To set forth the expected routine maintenance functions and associated schedules that
allow the BMP's to function as designed;
• To anticipate non-routine maintenance needs that may arise and suggest appropriate
responses to these needs;
The operations and maintenance plan will be a "living document" that can be modified in the
future to save costs (without compromising the goals of the program) and to adjust to changes
at the site or in regulatory guidance.
6.2 Responsible Parties
Responsibility for the implementation and/or oversight of the monitoring and maintenance
program for the BMP's at the 333 Main Street Project are designated as listed below:
• Facilities Department or Apartment Operator: BMP's in the onsite areas will be
maintained through funds generated by the Facilities Department or the Apartment
Operator. Actual maintenance responsibilities may be contracted out to parties other
than the commercial tenants at the site. The Facilities Department or Apartment
Operator will be responsible for the monitoring and maintenance program for the
commercial business until future property managers have been determined and
confirmed.
6.3 Scheduling of Monitoring and Maintenance
Routine maintenance for the BMP's should be carried out on a schedule similar to the rest of the
stormwater system
14
BKF Job No.20070073
K:\MAIN\2007\070073\06 Design\C Storm Drain System\SWMP\2011-11-04\333_MAIN_SWMP.doc
ATTY/AGR.2014.028/333 Main Street Stormwater Agreement
