Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update <br /> Program BE-79 "Complete Streets"Advisory I/O The City continues to work with an informal bicycle and pedestrian working group to provide input <br /> Committee on projects. MTC has made the existence of a Complete Streets Advisory Committee an eligibility <br /> requirement for some regional funding,which means that this group will need to be formalized. <br /> • <br /> Program BE-80 Participate with Local, I/O The City actively participates with inter-agency and other organizations to ensure and maintain a <br /> Regional,State,and Federal transportation network that encourages non-automobile travel. <br /> Agencies and Other <br /> Organizations <br /> Economic Development <br /> Program BE-81 Commercial Sites I/O The City continues to evaluate key properties within the downtown and major commercial <br /> Identification corridors in order to identify future real estate development opportunities. <br /> • <br /> Program BE-82 Large Industrial Uses Site I/O The City continues to inventory large industrial sites as they become available and works in <br /> Identification conjunction with the local brokers and developers to communicate the goals and vision of the <br /> General Plan. <br /> Program BE-83 Entitlement Processing I/O The City continues to evaluate methods and measures to efficiently process entitlement <br /> applications. Staff is currently considering options for providing expedited review in exchange for <br /> projects that meet certain design and development criteria. Staff continues to review new <br /> applications within the the State-mandated 30-day Permit Streamlining Act requirement. <br /> Program BE-84 Infrastructure Investment I/O The City continues to explore public private partnership opportunities to address its infrastructure <br /> Funding needs. When applicable,the City looks to upgrade its infrastructure when new projects come on <br /> board and the appropriate nexus can be made. <br /> Program BE-85 Local Resident Hiring I/O Whenever applicable,the City encourages exisitng and new businesses to hire locally.
