7.1.C. - Page 13 <br /> Ms. Thompson spoke on the second Closed Session item regarding the Save Laurel <br /> Way (SLW) petition that was filed in court. The Council had approved a project with <br /> modified home sizes due to the slope and SLW filed an appeal to challenge that. <br /> Subject to the City's law, the developer has an obligation to defend and indemnify the <br /> City. The developer will do that even though they had expressed dissatisfaction with the <br /> homes sizes because they had wanted larger home sizes. They have come to an <br /> agreement that subject to the city towing purported claims, the developer will go forward <br /> with that and the City Council authorized this on a 7-0 voice vote tonight and that <br /> agreement will be brought back at a future City Council meeting as a Consent Agenda <br /> item.. <br /> 11.
