He advised that the City <br /> has a $100 million water distribution system and a $50 million sanitary sewer collection <br /> system. <br /> In response to Council questions, Superintendent Adams described the advance of <br /> technology that could lead to bypassing troublesome phone lines, the expertise of the low <br /> bidder from Albuquerque, and the cost effectiveness of having an outside expert do the <br /> study. <br /> No one from the audience wished to speak. <br /> MIS: CLAIRE/HOW ARD. Agreement for Services between the City of Redwood City and the Woodside Fire <br /> Protection District; (304,705) <br /> REPORT: Fire Chief Ed Montez, September 8, 1997 <br /> Battalion Chief Cavallero presented the staff report and thanked the Council and City <br /> Manager Everett and staff for its support and policy decisions, and gave a big thank you to <br /> Woodside Fire Chief Mike Fuge and Armando Muella, Interim Paramedic Coordinator, for <br /> their efforts in securing this agreement. <br /> In response to Council comments, Chief Cavallero advised that the San Mateo County <br /> Supervisors approved the agreement at its September 9, 1997 meeting, at 9:30 a.m. He <br /> added that Redwood City had its first Paramedic ready to roll at 11 a.m. that same <br /> morning. <br /> Council Members congratulated all the participants in this process for their cooperation, <br /> especially the Woodside Fire Department, and cited this project as one of those great <br /> examples of jurisdictional cooperation that serves the public so well. <br /> No one from the audience wished to speak. <br /> ------ <br /> REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTE BOOK NO. 55 SEPTEMBER 22,1997 <br /> MINUTES Page No. 543 PAGE 9 <br />
