Clem Molony, Pressure Vessel Service, 525 Seaport Boulevard, Secretary of the Seaport <br /> Industrial Association, submitted a data sheet entitled Highway 101: Data on Imoending <br /> Additional Commuters which was based on research provided by the Transportation <br /> Authority, the CMAQ Committee of C/CAG, transportation meetings of SAMCEDA and <br /> other sources. The data sheet derived from a presentation he presented to the Chamber of <br /> Commerce last month. Mr. Molony said that based on currently proposed or in progress <br /> developments, there will be an additional 28,000 new workers, at least, added to the <br /> commute corridor between the Dumbarton Bridge and the San Mateo Bridge within the <br /> next five years. Mr. Molony asked the Council to factor in this hard data when <br /> considering approval of new developments in Redwood City. <br /> MEMO 10/21/97 <br /> B. Nick Watry, 1050 Lakeview Way, announced that last Friday the American Concrete <br /> Institute had advised him that the City Parking Structure on Broadway had received a <br /> regional award. He presented the Certificate and asked that staff display it in a prominent <br /> place. <br /> C. Karen Lew-Tom, Administrative Aide for Assemblyman Ted Lempert, 4149 El Camino <br /> Way, Palo Alto, announced there would be a free pancake breakfast sponsored by <br /> Assemblyman Lempert, 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Fair Oaks Community Center, this Saturday, <br /> October 25, 1997. She invited everyone to attend the breakfast and discuss issuees of <br /> concern with Assemblyman Lempert. <br /> D. Jose Munevar, 815 Bay, asked Council to install a traffic light at Egret and Redwood <br /> Shores Parkway, near the new Sandpiper School. Mr. Muneyar said that on three separate <br /> occasions he had nearly been run over when crossing the street at the corner, the last time <br /> was with his six year old daughter. <br /> In response to Mayor Hartnett's questions, Community Development Director Nelson <br /> said she and Mr. Munevar had discussed this situation.
