<br /> 1V�YOR HERKNER CALLED 'I�iE N�TING TO ORDER at 10:00 0'clock and announced that the Council was
<br /> was sitting as Board of Equalization an.d prepared to consider any matters pertaining to
<br /> �' assessments whieh might come before the meeting. Affidavit of publication of notice was
<br /> � ordered filed. Herbert H. Kertz, 1908 University Avenue, Palo Alto, protested that assess-
<br /> ment against his prope rty at Woodside and Valota Road and quoted assessments of several
<br /> ad�oining lots. Assessor Brophy advised that Mr. Rertz was comparing assessmen� with
<br /> last years figures and that assessments as appearing on 1954-55 roll have been ad�usted.
<br /> He stated further that the assesement as appearing against �Ghe �ertz property was figured
<br /> on the same ratio as the other properties in the area. Councilman Spillers then m�ved
<br /> that the ob�ections be overruled, seconded by Councilman Royer. Councilman Granger suggest-
<br /> ed that the record atate council action was based upon Assessor Brophy�s statement that
<br /> decision was based on this years assessment. Motion car�ied. �dr. Alvin H. Silva, 21}fi
<br /> Grand Street, appeared and requested certain informa,tion regarding his assessment after
<br /> which he stated he was offering no protest.
