City Attorney Currie eaplained the proposed routes, which are <br /> approxima.tely the sam+e as those suggested by the Planning Commission, with the exception <br /> that limited and unlimited truck routes have been done awa� with, the heavy lines, as ap- <br /> pearing on the original proposal, remain. City Attorney read the contents of the proposed <br /> ordinance after which several people in the audience were invited to 3nspect the map whicl� <br /> was displayed in view of the audience. Mayor Herkner announced that this was not a public <br /> hearing and° that a hearing would be held at a later date at which time all interested part- <br /> ies would be given an opportunity to appear. Councilman Britschgi suggested that <br /> inasmuch as the Council will be away from the 17th to the 20th that the introduction of this <br /> ordinance be scheduled for t he meeting of October 25, 195�.. "�"" <br /> PORT DQANAGER REGARDING SPECIAL BOND ELECTION FEBRUARY 8, i955• Gommunication from Port Manager � � <br /> McCarl requested that the Council authorize a specisl bond election to be held on February <br /> 8, 1955s in the amount of �950.000.00 with the understanding that the eapense of the elee- <br /> tion will be asswned by the Port and that the sale of the bonds . is to be contingent upon �.,� <br /> the appropriation for harbor improvexnents by the Federal Goverrunent. City Attorney Currie <br /> , � <br /> explained tYlat in order to save time the Port was asking for authority to proceed with the <br /> necessary mechanics. Col.
