In answer to question� <br /> City Manager Rolison advised that there was sufficient money in the Unbudgeted Reserve <br /> which could be used to place this program in effect b,y April lst, however, he stated <br /> that if money were taken from the Unbud�eted Reserve the amount would not be available <br /> � <br /> for �ossible er�ergencies . City Manager Rolison stated that the money was available if <br /> � � <br /> the Council desired to place the plan in effect on April lst. Councilwoman Tinney <br /> called attention to the letter from the City Manager dated January 29, 195�+� indicating <br /> the amount necessar� would be between ,�9�000 and �10�000. Inasmuch as there appeared <br /> � to be 85 or 95% of the emplcyees in accord of proposed amendment, Councilwoman Tinr�ey <br /> � was of the opinion that we should proceed at as early a date as possible . <br /> After further discussion and the fact that new �lan would be available to em�.loyees no�r <br /> on retirement� Councilman Herkner moved that effective date be July l� 1954, seconded ' <br /> t <br /> a <br /> by Councilman Spillers. Councilwoman Tinney stated she favored April 1, 195�-, but ` <br /> would not vcte against the July lst date. Councilman Herkner was also in favor of April <br /> date providing the money was available.
