3 <br /> agenda for the meeting of July 6th� seconded by Counc'ilman Herkner. Regarding the <br /> property of A. B. Cheatham was included in the area under consideration, it was the <br /> desire of the Council to eliminate this property entirely from the propowed rezoning. <br /> Councilman Jones then withdrew his motion with the consent of the second, and then Coun- <br /> cilman Britschgi moved that the hearing in connection with the proposed rezoning be <br /> �. continued until July 6th� the property of Mr. A. B. Cheatham to be eliminated. Motion <br /> � seconded by Councilman Royer . It carried after further discussion to the effect that <br /> the Cheatham property remains in its present classification, C-2. Councilman Jones <br /> questioned the policy of reversing the recommendations of the Planning Commission, how- <br /> ever� it was disclosed that the Planning Commission had considered the elimination of <br /> � <br /> the Cheatham property. <br /> � <br /> PUBLIC HEARING OF ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS AND DE ANZA AVENUE IMPF�OVEA�ENTS . The affidavit of <br /> mailing, posting and publication was ordered filed . Mayor Granger announced the public <br /> hearing. There being no protests , written or oral, Councilman Royer moved to close the <br /> public hearing, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 164� CCNFIRMING ASSESSMENT AND ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM was offered by Council- <br /> � man Jones , who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on roll call. <br /> Councilman Spillers and Councilwoman Tinney were noted absent. <br /> CCUNCILTIAN SPILLERS entered meeting at 8 :20 P. M. <br /> . <br /> PROPOSED REZONING ALL PROPERTY FRONTII�TG ON EL CAN�INO REAL FROI�1 REDWOOD VILLA PARK TO SOUTHERLY <br /> CITY LIMITS from R-4 and C-1 to C-1-H. Affidavit of �.ublication was ordered filed. <br /> Time for �ublic hearing was announced and t here being no protests , written or oral, <br /> °�""w" Councilman Britschgi moved that the public hearing be closed , seconded by Councilman <br /> � Jones . Cit,y Attorney Currie explained that the present propert�ti facing E1 Car��ino Real <br /> is zoned as C-l. It is proposed to rezone to C-1-H and to make all of the area uniform <br /> depth. Motion carried. Councilman Jones then moved introduction of ordinance� seconded <br /> by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PROPOSED REZONING OF AD-APT PROPERTY, Lot 9� Block 32� EASTERN ADDITION� R-4 to C-1-H. <br /> Affidavit of publication was ordered filed . After public hearing and there being no <br /> protests , written or oral , Councilman Britschgi moved that public hearing be closed, <br /> seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Spillers then moved introduction <br /> of ordinance� seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> PROPOSED EXCHANGE OF HAWES PARK No. 2 FOR SCHOQL PROPERTY. Councilman Royer reported on the <br /> meeting held recently at which four members of the Council and Mr . Spinas discussed this <br /> �. matter to sorne length. Councilman Royer suggested that a tentative agreement be pre- <br /> � pared satisfactory to both the City Attorney and the Attorney for the School District� <br /> said agreement to be sent back to the City Council. Councilman Royer so moved, <br /> seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE REZONING SIFFORD fiROPERT�', CORNER OF ALA�"EDA DE LAS PULGAS AND <br /> � <br /> JEFFERSGN AVENUE. City Attorney Currie advised that the ordinance could be introduced <br /> � <br /> at this meeting. It would establish the date of the �ublic hearing, City Clerk to mail <br /> post card notices to property owners within the 300 foot radius . After a thorough <br /> discussion regarding public hearing before and after introduction of ordinance� Council- <br /> man Britschgi moved introduction of the ordinance rezoning the Sifford propert,y from <br /> R-1 to C-1-H� said ordinance not to be published until aftex public hearing set for <br /> T�Iarch 8th.
