There <br /> being no protests, public hearing was closed on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded <br /> by Co�ancilman Royer, and carried. Councilman Spillers then moved adoption of QRDINANCE <br /> � <br /> No. 763, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried on roll call. <br /> � <br /> COUNCIL APPROVED PR�POSED CONGRESSIONAL APPROPRIATIQN FQR PORT OF RED41�OOD IMPROVEMENTS. After <br /> discussion, Councilman Herkner moved that tele�ram be forwarded to our representative in <br /> Washin�ton reaffirming the resolution previously forwarded and promissing full co-opera- <br /> tion should project be approved. <br /> REPORT FLIRTHER DISCUSSION ON PROPOSED RESERVOIR SITE. Councilman Herkner reported that he and <br /> City Engineer Jain had visited the site and had determined th.at a fair value would be <br /> �3,000 per acre. City En�ineer was of the opinion that 3 acres on top of the hill would <br /> be required. Councilman Britschgi moved acceptance of the Committee� s report, seconded <br /> by Councilman Spillers. City Manager Rolison stated that money with which to purchase <br /> the praperty was available in the Water f unds. Motion carried. <br /> The next decision to be made was whether or not the property should be acquired at this <br /> � time and Councilman Herkner moved the ma,tter be placed on the agenda for twro weeks, City <br /> �"' Manager to report his recommendations, seconded by Councilman Jones. Councilman Royer <br /> requested that the possibility of reimbursing the church for the cost of securing appra- <br /> isal be repaid. Z'he amount of money involved is �150, the reimbursem.ent being contingent <br /> �••. to securing the property. Motion carried. <br /> � REPORT FURT'riER DISCUSSION ON HETCH HETCHY RIGHT-of-�'JAY CLEAN UP. Councilman Spillers su�gested <br /> the matter for further clean-up be placed on the agenda for one week. The portion of <br /> the right-of-vray completed proved to be verg satisfactor�� and the cleaning up of the <br /> � balance of the area is desired, however, due to weather conditions work stopped during <br /> the past week. Councilman Royer moved that the matter be placed on the agenda for one <br /> week, seconded by Councilwoman Tinneg, and carried. <br /> � ABATEN�NT OF A.H. & T.A.
