Used cars and trucks parked against building. <br /> Due to the general deterioration and dilapidated condition of the building, <br /> inadequate, dangerous and delapidated stairway and conditions mentioned above, <br /> a serious life and fire hazard ex-�sts . <br /> This department recommends that these hazards be eliminated immediately. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved. that the proper authorities take the necessary steps to abate ,�,,,,� <br /> the building in question, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> �:� <br /> RESOLUTION OF IN'I�ITIO�T TO ANNEX MELEYCO TERRITORY. RESOLUTION No. 1660 declaring intention <br /> of annexation of' Lots 1, 2, 3, and 1�., Block 1, Oaklei�h Park, was offered by Councilman <br /> Jones who moved adoption, seconded by Councilma.n. Spillers and carried on roll call. <br /> TRAFF'IC COMNiITTEE'S RECOMMMENDATION FOR STOP SLGNS ON TOPAZ STREET AT HARDING AVEVUE AND <br /> HARDING A`IENUE AT ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS. The Traffic Fact Finding Committee recommended <br /> stop signs on Topaz Street stopping traffic on both sides of Harding Avenue and on <br /> Harding Avenue stoppin� traffic on both sides of the Alameda de las Pul�as . Councilman <br /> Spillers offered RESOLt�TIQDT No . 1661 and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer <br /> and carried. <br /> 1t��R. STA�vZEv TAj'I,OR AGAII�I APPEARED regarding his request for annexation of 52 acres south of <br /> Jefferson Avenue. This request had been recor_sidered by the Planning Commission and <br /> �..:� <br /> they appeared to be favorable, however, the same water and sewer problem, as mentioned <br /> , � <br /> previously, still exs_sted. Councilman Royer moved approval of the action of the <br /> Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman Spillers. <br /> City En�ineer Jain a dvised that the sewer and water connections mentioned by Mr. Taylor <br /> as "within. L�00 feet of the property°t were inadequate and the annexation of the area "'°'�"" <br /> would require construction of sewer and water lines sufficient to take care of require- �.:� <br /> ments. Councilrnan Britschgi commented on the possibility o£ future annexation pro- <br /> ceedin�s covering a portion of lo�rer Emerald Lake, it being apparent that this proposed <br /> annexat�on wou7.d have a distinct bearing and the fact th at annexation of the adjoining <br /> NlcBryde propert;� appeared desirabla. <br /> Councilman Herkner offered an amendment to the ori�inal motion to place the matter on <br /> , .. , .�.7..a��,.�:,�. .w�... . <br /> a._.:.�, u„ ... <br />
