EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Project Description <br /> This work includes design services to prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates, <br /> and construction support for bicycle and pedestrian roadway improvements on Hudson <br /> Street between Whipple Avenue and Woodside Road. Basic improvements include <br /> bulb-outs (and associated drainage modifications as needed), ADA-compliant curb <br /> ramps, enhanced crosswalk markings, countdown pedestrian signals, bicycle detectors, <br /> bicycle route markings, and signage. The work will also include the design services to <br /> prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates, and to provide construction support <br /> for the full signal pole upgrade at intersection of Jefferson Avenue/Hudson Street and <br /> the pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Woodside Road/Hess Road. To the <br /> extent that the grant budget can accommodate them, additional improvements will be <br /> included in the final design. Additional improvements may include sidewalk repairs, <br /> raised crosswalks, median islands, signal modifications, pedestrian lighting, and/or <br /> traffic-calming features. <br /> Task 1: Proiect Initiation & Manaqement <br /> The objective of this phase is to meet and discuss the overall goals of the project, to <br /> discuss the extent of existing information for the project, establish lines of <br /> communication, and to review and finalize the scope in detail. <br /> The Consultant shall prepare an agenda for a project initiation or kick-off meeting. The <br /> preliminary agenda for the meeting shall include: <br /> ► Introductions/Goals of the meeting <br /> ► Contact information, protocol for communicating project information <br /> ► SchedulelRequired time for City reviews <br /> ► The Consultant shall request the following items prior to the kick-off meeting and identify <br /> discussion items for the meeting: <br /> 1. Low flight, high resolution aerial photos in digital form, if available (or Google <br /> Earth Professional would be used) <br /> 2. GIS information in AutoCAD format <br /> 3. Basemaps and copies of any previous plans and street improvement plans in the <br /> project area and studies. <br /> 4. Topographic surveys of the project area,where available <br /> 5. Recent approved sample construction documents and notices to property owners <br /> from previous projects <br /> 6.
