Task 9: Traffic Siqnal Upqrade at Woodside/Hess Intersection Desiqn <br /> Consultant shall prepare traffic signal modification plans for the new countdown <br /> pedestrian heads, new push buttons, and APS. This intersection is owned and operated <br /> by Caltrans. Consultant shall include this into the encroachment permit description of <br /> work. It is our understanding that the City would prefer not to upgrade the curb ramps at <br /> this time. lf Caltrans comments received during the review process request the <br /> upgrading of the curb ramps, then Consultant shall inform our civil subconsultant to <br /> begin design of the ADA ramps. <br /> The submittal rounds for review shall be the same as the review rounds for tasks 2 <br /> through 4. <br /> Task 9.1 Bidding and Construction Support Services <br /> The Consultant shall provide the following assistance during bidding of this task: <br /> ► Review and respond to inquiries by Contractors during bidding via email to the City <br /> ► Prepare addenda to the plans and specs prepared by Consultant in electronic copy.pdf <br /> format <br /> The Consultant shall provide the following assistance during construction for this task: <br /> ► Assist contractor with plan interpretation during construction. <br /> ► Prepare minor addenda to clarify plan intent. <br /> ► Review up to 10 site development submittals and shop drawings related to the design <br /> scope of work. <br /> ► Participate in final inspection and assist with developing a final"punch IisY'of <br /> deficiencies, if requested by Redwood City. <br /> ► Prepare record drawings in AutoCAD format on Mylar of the Contractor's redline <br /> markups and Consultant field review. <br /> ❖ Deliverables:Addenda in.pdf format; <br /> Comments on submittals;and <br /> Record d�awings in Mylar and.dwg and.pdf formats. <br /> Task 9.2 Civil ADA Ramp Upgrades at Woodside/Hess <br /> Consultant shall prepare design plans for the upgrades of the curb ramps for each <br /> corner at Woodside/Hess, if required by Caltrans. Consultant shall coordinate the <br /> project design with affected utility companies and prepare permit applications; the City <br /> is responsible for all permit fees. Consultant shall conduct research of all existing <br /> utilities within the project limits to identify, locate, and accurately lay out all above <br /> ground and underground utility improvements. All existing utility maintenance holes, <br /> valve boxes, splice boxes, monument wells, etc. shall be accurately shown on the plans <br /> and field documents.
