TITLE READ. <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2.111, 2.121, 2.131, AND 25.6 OF THE CODE OF <br /> THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE TERMS OF OFFICE OF <br /> MEMBERS OF THE CIVIC CULTURAL COMMISSION, BOARD OF BUILDING <br /> REVIEW, SENIOR AFFAIRS COMMISSION, AND PARK AND RECREATION <br /> COMMISSION, RESPECTIVELY; <br /> ADOPTED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE FOR FIRST READING. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 96-310 <br /> In response to Councilman Claire's questions, City Attorney Schricker advised that the <br /> boards and commissions established by Code do require their Chairs to be selected by their <br /> members, but he would have to check on those committees established by Resolution. <br /> MEMO 12/17/96 <br /> MIS: CLAIREIBUCHAN TO REQUIRE THAT ANY COMMITTEE COMPRISED OF PUBLIC <br /> MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE COUNCIL, OR ANY COMMITTEE THAT THE <br /> COMMITTEE ITSELF APPOINTS, ELECTS ITS CHAIRPERSON FROM ITS OWN <br /> MEMBERSHIP AND EXCLUDES COUNCIL MEMBERS FROM SERVING IN THAT <br /> CAPACITY (DEFINED AND RESTATED). <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 96-311 <br /> Mayor Hartnett explained that the Mayor appoints the liaison to the Pride and <br /> Beautification Committee but does not appoint the membership. <br /> MEMO 12/17/96 <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Hartnett determined it to be the consensus of the Council to direct <br /> the Council Ad Hoc Committee to research tenn limits, training, and application of <br /> approved recommendations to Charter established commissions and boards, and report back <br /> to the Council at a future date. <br /> MEMO 12/17/96 <br /> --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 6.
