<br /> SECTION 01200
<br /> MEASUREMENT�PAYMENT
<br /> 1.01 GENERAL
<br /> A. The total Bid price shall cover all work necessary for the proper and successful completion of the
<br /> Contract. All work not specifically set forth as a pay item in the Bidder's Bid, but necessary to meet the
<br /> requirements of this Contract, shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the Contractor, and all costs
<br /> in connection therewith shall be included in the prices Bid.
<br /> B. All estimated quantities stipulated in the Bid form are to be used only as a basis for estimating the
<br /> probable cost of the work and/or for the purpose of comparing the Bids submitted for the work. The
<br /> actual amounts of work completed under unit price items may differ from estimated quantities. The basis
<br /> of payment for unit price work will be the actual amount of work completed. Contractor agrees to make
<br /> no claim for damages, anticipated profits or otherwise on account of any difference in the amounts of
<br /> work actually performed,and estimated amounts therefore.
<br /> 1.02 MOBILIZATION,TRAFFIC CONTROL,NOTIFICATION,AND OTHER INCIDENTALS(BID ITEM NO. 1)
<br /> A. Full compensation for all mobilization consisting of preparatory work and operations, including, but not
<br /> limited to, those necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the
<br /> project site; traffic control measures including supplying, maintaining all traffic signs, portable barricades
<br /> and delineators required, any required flagging costs, as necessary to implement traffic control measures
<br /> will be considered as included in the lump sum price paid for MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC CONTROL,
<br /> NOTIFICATION, AND OTHER INCIDENTALS and no separate payment will be made therefore.
<br /> Attention is directed to Sections 7-1.03, "Public Convenience," 7-1.04, "Public Safety,° 12-3.04, "Portable
<br /> Delineators," and 12-1.03 "Flagging Costs," of the Standard Specifications and these Special Conditions.
<br /> The Contractor shall cooperate with local authorities relative to handling traffic through the area, and shall
<br /> make his own arrangements relative to keeping the work area clear of parked vehicles.
<br /> B. Full compensation for notifying residents, businesses, and schools surrounding the project site, including
<br /> the placement of barricades, posting signs on construction fence, and 14-day advance notice door
<br /> hangers shall be included as a lump sum price paid for MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC CONTROL,
<br /> NOTIFICATION,AND OTHER INCIDENTALS.
<br /> C. Full compensation for restoring existing landscape and damaged structures, and other incidentals related
<br /> to the completion of this Project shall be included as a lump sum price paid for MOBILIZATION, TRAFFIC
<br /> CONTROL, NOTIFICAITON, AND OTHER INCIDENTALS. This work shall include, but is not limited to:
<br /> verification and location of existing utilities in a horizontal and vertical plan, restoration of irrigation,
<br /> concrete walkways, landscaping, and structures. Restoration & replacement of existing lawn or other
<br /> improvements removed or damaged due to excavation work or other improvements shall be to restored
<br /> or replaced in kind to the satisfaction of the City.
<br /> 1.03 REMOVE EXISTING NON-CONFORMING STRIPING AND MARKINGS(BID ITEM NO.2)
<br /> A. The contract lump sum price for REMOVE EXISTING NON-CONFORMING STRIPING AND MARKINGS
<br /> shall include full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for
<br /> performing all the work necessary to remove and dispose of any existing thermoplastic pavement
<br /> markings, raised markers, and thermoplastic delineation necessary to implement the proposed lane
<br /> reconfiguration.
<br /> B. Specific markings, markers, and tra�c lines to be removed are not shown on the plans. City Engineer will
<br /> identify which markings, markers, and delineation are to be removed. Existing crosswalk markings do not
<br /> need to be removed.
