For additional information, see IB 346, <br /> titled"Port Security Grant Program Allowable Costs for Seafarers and Shore Staff/Support." <br /> Applicants are encouraged to utilize the Qualified Technologies List to identify TWIC <br /> equipment: http://www.tsa.gov/stakeholders/reader-qualified-technology-list-qtl. <br /> Equipment Acquisition <br /> PSGP funds may be used for the following types of equipment provided it will be used in direct <br /> support of maritime security risk mitigation and it supports developing or sustaining one or more <br /> core capabilities in the Goal: <br /> • PPE for maritime security providers <br /> • Explosive device response and remediation equipment for maritime security <br /> providers <br /> • CBRNE detection equipped patrol watercraft/small boat used to directly support <br /> maritime security for a facility or within a Port Area on a routine basis (CBRNE <br /> detection equipment must be requested with the watercraft/small boat in the U and <br /> detailed budget) <br /> • Information sharing technology; components or equipment designed to share <br /> maritime security risk information and maritime all hazards risk information with <br /> other agencies (equipment must be compatible with generally used equipment) <br /> • Maritime security risk mitigation interoperable communications equipment <br /> • CBRNE decontamination equipment for direct maritime security providers and <br /> MTSA-regulated industry <br /> • Terrorism incident prevention and response equipment for maritime security risk <br /> mitigation <br /> • Physical security enhancement equipment(ex: fences, blast resistant glass, turnstiles, <br /> hardened doors and vehicle gates) <br /> • Equipment such as portable fencing, CCTVs,passenger vans,mini-buses, etc. to <br /> support secure passage of vessel crewmembers through a MTSA regulated facility <br /> • CBRNE detection equipped patrol vehicles/vessels, provided they will be used <br /> primarily for port/facility security and/or response operations. <br /> • Marine firefighting vessels,provided they are outfitted with CBRNE detection <br /> equipment and are designed and equipped to meet NFPA 1925: Standard on Marine <br /> Fire-Fighting Vessels <br /> • Firefighting foam and PKP powder may be purchased by public fire departments <br /> which have jurisdictions in a Port Area and would respond to an incident at an MTSA <br /> regulated facility. MTSA facilities may also receive funding for this purpose. <br /> Funding will be limited to a one-time purchase based on a worst-case incident at the <br /> facility or facilities <br /> • Equipment such as telecommunications, computers, and systems to support State and <br /> local agency participation in IOCs for port security to include virtual IOC capabilities <br /> (this equipment must be compatible with generally used equipment, requiring no <br /> interface equipment or software other than cabling,wires, or fiber optics) <br /> 42 <br /> Appendix C—FY 2014 PSGP Funding Guidelines <br />
