ATTACHMFNT 1 <br /> 7.1.A. - Page 24 <br /> TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> CHIEF OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (COA) <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> 17.2 Retiree Health <br /> For COA members employed by the City who have ten (10) years of service and retire under the <br /> City's retirement, the maximum City contribution toward health plan coverage shall be equal to <br /> the Ca1PERS Bay Area Kaiser Employee-Only premium. Retirees that reside in other higher <br /> priced regions will be required to pay the additional premium amount that is in excess of the Bay <br /> Area rates. (MOVED FROM ABOVE) The City will pay the PEMHCA minimum employer <br /> contribution to CaIPERS and reimburse the retiree for the remaining amount. <br /> 17.3 Dental Insurance <br /> The City shall continue to provide to eligible employees and dependents dental insurance <br /> program through the term of this agreement to include coverages as follows: $2,000 <br /> annual cap for basic coverage and $2,500 lifetime cap for orthodonture. Effective <br /> October 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011, the City will pay one hundred percent <br /> (100%) of the dental insurance premium for eligible employees and dependents: <br /> Effective J ttary 1, 2:042, theThe City will pay ninety percent (90%) of the dental <br /> insurance premium for eligible employees and dependents. <br /> 17. 4 Vision Care <br /> The City shall continue to contract with Vision Service Plan (VSP) or a comparable <br /> vision care provider to provide vision care benefits for employees and their dependents. <br /> The Vision service Plan B provides for an exam every 12 months, lenses every 12 months <br /> if needed, and frames every 2 years if needed. There is to be no deductible for <br /> employees, but a $20.00 per person deductible will apply to dependents each time <br /> benefits are available and will be paid by the employee. - -- . - `- ::- , <br /> through December 31, 2011, the City will pay one hundred percent (100%) of the vision <br /> inser-ace premium for eligible employees and dependents. Effective January 1, 2012, <br /> Tthe City will pay ninety percent (90%) of the vision insurance premium for eligible <br /> employees and dependents. <br /> 17.7 Social Security <br /> In the event the City and its employees are required to participate in the Federal Social <br /> Security Program, the contribution designated by law to be the responsibility of the <br /> employee shall be paid in full by the employee and the City shall be paid in full by the <br /> employ and the City shall not be obligated to pay or "pick up" any portion thereof. <br /> Article 19: Grievance Procedure <br /> 19.1 Definition <br /> Page 20 of 22 <br />
