TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> 7.1.A. - Page 29 REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES'ASSOCIATION <br /> RE: MOU CHANGES <br /> Effective the first full pay period following July 1, 2014, in accordance with Section 20516(f) of the California <br /> Government Code, each unit member shall pay two percent (2%) of base salary toward the employer cost of <br /> retirement. <br /> Year 2: Effective the first pay period on or after October 1, 2014, each unit member shall pay an additional two and <br /> one-half percent (2.5%) of base salary toward the employer cost of retirement (a total of four and one half percent <br /> (4.5%) employee cost sharing of City's pension contribution) in accordance with Section 20516(f) of the California <br /> Government Code. <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after October 1, 2014, the salary schedule for all classifications represented by <br /> RCMEA will be increased by two and one half percent(2.5%). <br /> Year 3: Effective the first pay period on or after October 1, 2015, each unit member shall pay an additional two and <br /> one-half percent (2.5%) of base salary toward the employer cost of retirement (a total of seven percent (7%) <br /> employee cost sharing of City's pension contribution) in accordance with Section 20516(f) of the California <br /> Government Code. <br /> Effective the first pay period on or after October 1, 2015, the salary schedule for all classifications represented by <br /> RCMEA will be increased by two and one half percent(2.5%). <br /> ADDITIONAL MOU CHANGES: <br /> Article 6: Layoff And Re-Employment <br /> 6.5 Re-employment <br /> For those employees who do not exercise the election referred to in Article 6.4 above(Bumping Rights), and <br /> for all other laid off employees, the name of each employee who is laid off shall be placed at the head of the <br /> eligible list for the class of positions which he or she held, and such person shall be given preference in <br /> filling vacancies in that class for a period of two years following layoff. <br /> Article 9: Probationary Period <br /> 9.3 Extension or Reduction of Probationary Period <br /> Upon written recommendation of a probationary employee's department head and approval of the Human <br /> Resources DirectorPersonnel Officer, a probationary period may be shortened lengthened by an amount <br /> of time corresponding to an employee's leave of absence during the probationary period.any period of time <br /> Article 11: Promotion <br /> 11.3 Promotional Appointment <br /> Promotional Appointments shall be made from the first three (3) candidates on the eligibility list who are <br /> ready and willing to accept the position offered. • -•:'•: _ __ •: -• •. •. <br /> Page 3 of 3 <br />
