TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN 7.1.A. - Page 48 <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 521 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> 1. Term of Agreement: Three years (February 1, 2014--January 31, 2017) <br /> 2. Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA): <br /> Year 1: Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2014, there will be a three percent <br /> (3%) cost of living increase for all classifications represented by SEIU. This increase shall apply <br /> only to employees in active employment status with the City as of the date the payment is <br /> processed by City payroll. <br /> Year 2: Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2015, there will be a two and one-half <br /> percent (2.5%) cost of living increase for all classifications represented by SEIU, <br /> Year 3: Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2016, there will be a two and one-half <br /> percent (2.5%) cost of living increase for all classifications represented by SEIU. <br /> 3. Employee Cost Sharing of City's Contribution to Pension With Salary Offset <br /> Year 2: Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2015, the salary schedule for all <br /> classifications represented by SEIU will be increased by two and one half percent (2.5%). <br /> Effective the first full pay period following August 1, 2015, each unit member shall pay two and <br /> one-half percent (2.5%) salary toward the employer cost of retirement in accordance with Section <br /> 20516(f) of the California Government Code. <br /> Year 3: Effective the first full pay period following February 1, 2016, the salary schedule for all <br /> classifications represented by SEIU will be increased by two and one half percent(2.5%). <br /> Effective the first full pay period following August 1, 2016, each unit member shall pay an additional <br /> two and one-half percent (2.5%) salary toward the employer cost of retirement (a total of five <br /> percent (5%) employee cost sharing of City's pension contribution) in accordance with Section <br /> 20516(f) of the California Government Code. <br /> OTHER PROPOSED CHANGES: <br /> 3.4 Advance Notice <br /> The Union shall be notified of any creation of or change to an ordinance, rule, resolution or <br /> regulation directly relating to matters within the scope of representation proposed to be adopted by <br /> the City Council, by any board or commission of the City or by any department and the Union shall <br /> be given the opportunity to meet and confer or consult on the impact of such ordinance, rule, <br /> resolution, or regulation prior to its adoption by the City Council, board or commission of the City or <br /> any department.
