7.1.A. - Page 61 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 521 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> The parties will continue to meet and confer over the City's January 15, 2014 proposal regarding <br /> contract employees. <br /> Library Employee Workweek: <br /> For Library employees assigned to a regular s chedule of thirty-eight (38) hours per workweek, the following <br /> fringe benefits will be prorated at a rate of 0.95: <br /> 1) Vacation <br /> f2) Sick Leave <br /> (3) Personal Business Leave, and <br /> (4) Holidays <br /> For the purpose of the following fringe benefits, Library employees assigned to a regular schedule of thirty- <br /> eight (38) hours per workweek shall be treated as full time employees: <br /> f1) Cafeteria Plan Allowance <br /> (2) Bereavement Leave, and <br /> (3) The calculation of service years for the purpose of seniority determination and retiree health <br /> benefits. <br /> 3.2 Use of City Facilities <br /> The Union may, with prior approval-notice toef the Human Resources n�Manager, be granted the use <br /> of City facilities for meetings of City workers provided space is available and does not interfere with City <br /> business, The use of City equipment, other than items normally used in the conduct of meetings, is strictly <br /> prohibited. <br /> Retention of Disciplinary Documents <br /> ADD: If there has been no recurrence of conductor performance deficiency forming the basis of a <br /> disciplinary action, after three (3) years the employee may request that a letter be placed in his or her <br /> personnel file reflecting the correction of such conduct or deficiency. Placement of such letter into the <br /> employee's personnel file is subject to approval of the Department Head and Personnel Officer, <br /> Voluntary Transfer Requests <br /> The City shall provide ten (10) working day notice to eligible employees regarding open positions, in <br /> advance of recruitment for the classifications of Library Assistant, Senior Library Assistant, Administrative <br /> Clerk I/II, Administrative Clerk III, and Secretary. Eligible employees may request a transfer at this time by <br /> Page 15 of 20 <br />
