Application for Federal and State Disaster Relief and Emergency Financial Assistance (505) REPORT: Public works Services Director, February 12, 1996 Councilman Leipzig voiced his objection to the City asking for state and federal reimbursement funds to cover overtime costs and property loss incurred by the City during the December storms, stating the City was well off, and it was wrong to rely on the state and federal governments any time the City had a problem. Councilman Claire said he agreed with Councilman Leipzig, but added that the state took $3 million of recurring revenues ITom the City during the state's fiscal crunch a few years '--- ago, and has never offered to give any of it back.
