In response to Council questions, Mr. Lentz said the 13' is actually listed in their title
to the property based on former legal actions, and they just wanted to clarifY the issue.
He added they wanted to plant more flowers and secure them with a fence surrounding
the area - a fence for the sake of security and privacy.
Councilwoman Howard stated everyone uses that part of Beech Street as a parking
lot which they shouldn't, and the fence the applicants intend to build will enable them
to encircle their property, but the fence would be lowered 15' before it reaches Hilton
Street so that traffic coming out of Beech street would have adequate visibility.
Mark Bartholomew, 426 Hilton Street, applicant, requested that Council approve
staffs recommendation and the conditions in the letter sent last week, thanked the
Council for reviewing all the materials they submitted, thanked the staff, and especially
Community Development Director Nelson for her hard work.
4) Close public hearing;
MIS: LEIPZIGIRUSKIN TO CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING.
CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE AND HEARING CLOSED AT 8:47 P.M.
MINUTE ORDER NO. 96-035
5) Council action;
TITLE READ.
