ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. Susan Keely, 766 Canyon Road, Redwood City, said how proud she was of Roy Cloud <br /> School, and encouraged Council to read the ITont page article in the March 11, 1996 <br /> Mercury News that described the school being "wired for the Net." Mrs. Keely thanked <br /> Ernie LeBlanc and Marilyn and Woody Lawrence who worked so hard over the last two <br /> years to build a computer system for the school. <br /> Mrs. Keely asked if the personalized bricks at the new Red Morton Center were still <br /> available. Council Members said yes and referred her to the Park and Recreation and <br /> Community Services Department or the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> B. John Mooney, 980 Pleasant Hill Road, Redwood City, thanked the Council for supporting <br /> Redwood City schools. Mr. Mooney, member of the Redwood City Senior Affairs <br /> Commission, said he did not support the Commission's January 12, 1996 letter to the <br /> Council asking the Council to write the President and Congress urging them not to make <br /> cuts in Medicare and Medicaid. Mr. Mooney was speaking as an individual, and a <br /> member of the Commission in opposition to the Commission's policy, and urged Council <br /> not to take action on this issue until after Washington had made a firm proposal.
