ATTACHMENT 1 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 14-13 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMICSSBON OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY DENYING THE APPEAL OF JULBE ABRAHAM AND <br /> UPHOLDING THE DECISION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> DIRECTOR TO ELIMINATE A DEED RESTRICTION AT 20 AVONDALE <br /> AVENUE AND 150 EL CAMINO REAL <br /> WHEREAS, the prospective developer/owner of a property, David Hopkins, <br /> requested that a deed restriction which prevents the construction of any permanent <br /> structures within the 50-foot wide vacant parcel located at 20 Avondale Avenue, <br /> Redwood City, California ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 12 , 2014, the Community Development Director reviewed <br /> the request and associated materials, to consider the elimination of this deed restriction ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , on June 12 , 2014 , the Community Development Director issued a <br /> Notice of Decision , granting the elimination of the deed restriction on 20 Avondale <br /> Avenue ; and <br /> WHEREAS , on June 27, 2014, an appeal of the Community Development <br /> Director's decision to eliminate the deed restriction was filed with the City Clerk by the <br /> Julie Abraham (appellant); and <br /> WHEREAS, on August 9, 2014, a public hearing notice was published in The <br /> Redwood City Daily News and mailed to interested parties and all property owners <br /> within 300 feet of the Property; and <br /> WHEREAS , on August 19 , 2014 , the Planning Commission of the City of <br /> Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br /> requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning <br /> Ordinance, to consider the appeal ; and <br /> WHEREAS , on August 19, 2014, the Appellant and all other interested parties <br /> were given the opportunity to participate in the public hearing through oral testimony <br /> and the submittal of written comments; and <br /> WHEREAS , on August 19 , 2014, the Planning Commission fully reviewed , <br /> considered , and evaluated the staff reports prepared for this matter, including the <br /> attachments to the staff report, oral and written public testimony, and all other <br /> documents and evidence in the public record on the matter and the appeal . <br /> REV: 08-14-14 VR <br /> ATTY/RES0.3007/PC RESO DENYING APPEAL ON 20 AVONDALE <br /> Page 1of3 <br />
