• } <br /> ' ORIGINAL <br /> MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN <br /> NOTRE DAME MISSION VOLUNTEERS,REDWOOD CITY 2020,AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br /> 2014-2015 <br /> THIS MEMORAND M OF UNDERSTAN ("MOU") is made and entered into as of the <br /> ��_ day of 201 by and between NOTRE DAME MISSION <br /> VOLU TEERS ("Notre Dam ), RE WOOD CI 2020(a coliaboration comprised of eight partners, <br /> induding City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School <br /> District, County of San Mateo (Heafth System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare <br /> District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser <br /> Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County) and CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("City") Acting as <br /> Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively, Notre Dame, Redwood City 2020, and City are <br /> hereinafter referred to as the"Parties° <br /> SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's Funding of One Notre Dame Mission Volunteer at the <br /> Sequoia High School Teen Resource Center. <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of <br /> services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an <br /> unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, <br /> including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School <br /> District, County of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare <br /> District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser <br /> Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to <br /> develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth <br /> living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources <br /> to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. <br /> B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services <br /> required by Redwood Ciry 2020. <br /> C. Redwood Ciry 2020 desires to collaborate with Notre Dame to provide funding for one <br /> Notre Dame Volunteer to provide services at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. <br /> D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agres that the Notre Dame volunteer is not <br /> an employee of the City of Redwood City or Redwood City 2020 and is not entitled to, and does not <br /> obtain,any rights, privileges or benefits as those conferred upon Redwood City employees. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained <br /> herein,the Parties agree as follows: <br /> ARTICLE 1—BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES <br /> Notre Dame seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to fund one volunteer at Sequoia High School <br /> who will provide services in the Sequoia Teen Resource Cente�for the 2014-2015 school year. <br /> 1. Term. Unless earlier terminated,the term of this MOU is from the date first above written until <br /> July 31, 2015. <br /> 2. Scoae of Services("Services"). <br /> NOTRE DAME will provide one volunteer to provide services at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen <br /> Resource Center for the 2014-2015 school year.
