• } ' ORIGINAL MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN NOTRE DAME MISSION VOLUNTEERS,REDWOOD CITY 2020,AND CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ACTING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR REDWOOD CITY 2020 2014-2015 THIS MEMORAND M OF UNDERSTAN ("MOU") is made and entered into as of the ��_ day of 201 by and between NOTRE DAME MISSION VOLU TEERS ("Notre Dam ), RE WOOD CI 2020(a coliaboration comprised of eight partners, induding City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Heafth System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County) and CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("City") Acting as Fiscal Agent for Redwood City 2020. Collectively, Notre Dame, Redwood City 2020, and City are hereinafter referred to as the"Parties° SUBJECT: Redwood City 2020's Funding of One Notre Dame Mission Volunteer at the Sequoia High School Teen Resource Center. RECITALS A. Redwood City 2020 is a Community Collaborative that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area adjacent to Redwood City. Redwood City 2020 is made up of eight partners, including City of Redwood City, Redwood City Elementary School District, Sequoia Union High School District, County of San Mateo (Health System and Human Services Agency), Sequoia Healthcare District, John W. Gardner Center for Youth and their Communities — Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, and First 5 of San Mateo County to provide leadership and oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be successful primary caregivers to their children. B. City serves as fiscal agent for Redwood City 2020 and as such contracts for services required by Redwood Ciry 2020. C. Redwood Ciry 2020 desires to collaborate with Notre Dame to provide funding for one Notre Dame Volunteer to provide services at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center. D. The Parties specifically acknowledge and agres that the Notre Dame volunteer is not an employee of the City of Redwood City or Redwood City 2020 and is not entitled to, and does not obtain,any rights, privileges or benefits as those conferred upon Redwood City employees. NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of these recitals and the mutual covenants contained herein,the Parties agree as follows: ARTICLE 1—BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Notre Dame seeks funding from Redwood City 2020 to fund one volunteer at Sequoia High School who will provide services in the Sequoia Teen Resource Cente�for the 2014-2015 school year. 1. Term. Unless earlier terminated,the term of this MOU is from the date first above written until July 31, 2015. 2. Scoae of Services("Services"). NOTRE DAME will provide one volunteer to provide services at Sequoia High School's Sequoia Teen Resource Center for the 2014-2015 school year.
