Purpose. The Council of Redwood City hereby <br /> finds that a comprehensive plan for the plaating and maintenance <br /> of trees which are located within, or which overhanc�, pub lic <br /> streets within the City is required for pub lic safety and for <br /> the protection of the general welfare. This ordinance is adopted, <br /> therefore, for the purpose of developing and providing for such <br /> a plan and for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations <br /> relating to the planting, care and maintenance of such trees. <br /> SECTION 2. Definitions. The term "person" as used in this <br /> ordinance shall be broadly construed to include an individual, <br /> a firm, an association, a corporation, a co-partnership, and the <br /> lessees, trustees, receivers, agents, servants, and employees of <br /> any such person. <br /> The term "City" shall mean the City of Redwood City. <br /> The term "Park Superintendent" or "Superintendent" shall <br /> mean the Park Superintendent of the City of Redwood City and <br /> shall include his authorized representatives. <br /> The term "public streets" or "streets" shall include all <br /> roads, streets, avenues, boulevards, alleys, parkways, and public <br /> rights of way, or any portion thereof, of the City. <br /> The term "owner" shall mean the legal owner of real property <br /> and shall not include a lessee or other person occupying such <br /> property with the consent of the owner. <br />� ,..�;,k�.�..,������,��m,�...new.. � ..,�.;:.. .�u�,..���a._ _ _ <br />
