RESOLUTION NO. 15-16 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 2 AND <br /> ARTICLE 17A OF THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed Article 2 and Article 17A Zoning Ordinance Amendment is <br /> comprised of changes to permitted, conditionally permitted and prohibited uses and correction of <br /> typos; and <br /> WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Article 2 and Article 17A Zoning Ordinance <br /> Amendment was duly published in the Daily News at least 10 days prior to the public hearing ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on February 3, 2015, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to <br /> consider a draft ordinance to the regulations and provide direction ; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 21 , 2015, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to further <br /> consider a amended draft ordinance; and <br /> WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the proposed amendments was mailed to <br /> potentially affected properties within the City and properties within 300 feet and duly published in <br /> the Daily News 10 days prior to the public hearing ; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the duly noticed July 21 , 2015, public hearing , the Planning Commission <br /> considered the whole of the record , including the Initial Study Checklist and Negative Declaration <br /> dated July 17, 2015 and public comments received within the comment period ; and <br /> WHEREAS, after the public hearing , the City Council considered and found that the Initial <br /> Study and Negative Declaration are adequate and comply with CEQA and adopted the Initial <br /> Study and Negative Declaration ; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1 . The recitals set forth above are true and correct, and are hereby incorporated <br /> herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> Section 2. The Planning Commission hereby finds that the proposed Article 17A Zoning <br /> Ordinance Amendment is in the public interest and consistent with the Redwood City General <br /> Plan . The text of the Zoning Ordinance Amendment is attached hereto as Exhibit A and <br /> incorporated herein by reference. <br /> Section 3. This proposed Article 17A Zoning Ordinance Amendment has been reviewed <br /> with respect to applicability of the California Environmental Quality Act ("CEQA") and the State <br /> ATTY/RES0.3122/PC RESO ADOPT AN ORD ARTICLE 2 AND ARTICLE 17A OF ZA <br /> REV: 07-23-15 VR <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br />
