ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. Mayor pro tem Hartnett advised that Mayor Gasparini could not attend the meeting <br /> due to Council meeting schedule changes, and she wished to extend her apologies. <br /> B. John Mooney, 980 Pleasant Hill Road, Redwood City, referred to the recurring Child <br /> Care Coordinator's position in the proposed budget and asked the Council not to get into <br /> the child care business, but leave that to private non-profit organizations. <br /> C. Ken Yokoo, 40 Arch Street, Redwood City, operator of Mike and Ken's Unocal Station <br /> at EI Camino Real and Edgewood Road for almost 40 years, told the Council that Unocal <br /> had advised his lease would not be renewed. Mr. Yoko stated that Unocal planned to turn <br /> his service station into a self-serve facility and asked Council to contact Unocal on his <br /> behalf.
