ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. Dr. Nancy Jewell Cross, Council candidate, 800 Main Street, Redwood City addressed <br /> Council regarding homeless shelters, and urged that the Council address this issue with <br /> humanity and reasonableness. Dr. Cross expressed concern regarding an article in the <br /> San Jose Mercury which stated that the City of Palo Alto was cleaning out its temporary <br /> shelters near the train station. Palo Alto apparently felt that their homeless will go to a <br /> shelter planned for Redwood City. According to Dr. Cross the public is not being <br /> informed that the current church located shelter located in Palo Alto is limited to drug <br /> INUTE BOOK NO. 53 <br /> age No. 388 <br />
