. . <br /> � ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN REDWOOD CITY <br /> AND <br /> SAN MATE�D COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING <br /> FY 2015-201 b <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, ef�ective �� 2016, is entered into, by and between <br /> the City of Redwcjod City, a charter city and municipal corporation ("RWC"), and the <br /> County of San Mateo throu$h its Departrnent of Housing ("County" or"DOH") to jointly <br /> explore the feasibility of redevelopment of 2500, 2510, 2600 & 2700 Middlefield Road <br /> (cotlectively,"Middlefield JunctiQn"). <br /> RECITALS <br /> A. WHEREAS,the County of San Mateo(the"County") intends to redevelop <br /> the vacant property that it owns at 2700 Middlefield Road;and <br /> B. WHEREAS, the County owns 2500 & 2510 Middlefield Road, where the <br /> aging public facilities of the Co�nty's Human Services Agency ("HSA"j and RWC's Fair <br /> Oaks Branch Library(the"Library")are currently situated;and <br /> C. WHEREAS, RWC owns 2604 Middlefield Road, where the aging Fair <br /> Oaks Connmunity Center{the"Cammunity Center")is curz�ently situated;and <br /> D. WHEREAS, the County currently leases 2710 Middlefield Road with an <br /> option to purchase that property where the newly constructed �air Oaks Health Clinic (the <br /> "Clinic"�is situated; and <br /> E. WHEREAS,the Clinic, HSA,the Library and the Community Center share <br /> many of the same clients; and <br /> F. WHEREAS,2740&27l 0 Middlefield Road are contiguous parcels; and <br /> G. WHEREAS, 2500, 2510,& 2640 Middlefield Road are cantiguous parcels; <br /> �a <br /> H. WHEREAS,these two sets of contiguous parcels are close together,and <br /> i.
