ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> AI. Leo Crawford, Topaz Road, Redwood City, introduced the American Legion's <br /> 1992 Outstanding Citizen of Redwood City, Al Rollins. Both Mr. Crawford <br /> and Mr. Rollins thanked the Council and City staff for their support of <br /> the American Legion activities in Redwood City. (301-17) <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> A2. Michele Wilkinson, Club Chocolate, Main Street, addressed the Council <br /> regarding parking and other problems caused by the protest situation <br /> involving a neighboring business, Choice Clinic, and asked Council to <br /> direct the Police Department to lift all parking restrictions and enforce <br /> exactly the same parking regulations for all businesses on that block; <br /> asked Council to adopt an ordinance regulating offensive signs on <br /> stationary objects that threaten the emotional well-being of citizens; <br /> and advised that the police officer stationed outside the Choice Clinic <br /> is doing a good job, but that his salary should not be paid by the <br /> citizens of Redwood City, but by the people who have caused his presence <br /> - Choice Clinic and the protesters from both sides of the issue.
