<br />Councilman Keckley moved to adopt ORDINANCE N0, 1265 ADDING ARTICLE IV TO CHAPTER 32
<br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY IMPOSING A TAX UPON THE PRIVILEGE OF
<br />TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY AND PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION THEREOF, seconded by
<br />Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call vote.
<br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE N0, 1266 AMENDING SECTIONS 2,15 AND 2,16
<br />OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO CITY EMPLOYEES TRANSPORTATION
<br />EXPENSES, seconded by Councilman Keckley. On question, Councilman Henderson
<br />stated since introduction of this proposed ordinance she had investigated more
<br />thoroughly, checking other bench mark cities and feels that Redwood City need
<br />not increase the rate. Therefore, she is opposed to this action. Mayor Herkner
<br />mentioned County, Districts, and other cities whose rates are the same as those
<br />proposed. Motion carried on roll call vote, Councilman Henderson voting no.
<br />Councilman Petersen moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1130.58 ADDING SECTION 60.2,22 TO
<br />ORDINANCE N0, 1130, THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, REZONING PROPERTY IN THE
<br />VICINITY OF JEFFERSON AVENUE AND UTAH STREET, seconded by Councilman Henderson
<br />and carried on roll call vote, Councilmen Bury and Rosselli voting no.
<br />Councilman Bury moved to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 1267 AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL
<br />YEAR 1966-67 RELATIVE TO ANTICIPATED REVENUE FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, THE
<br />FINANCING OF IMPROVEMENTS FOR EXTENSION OF FARM HILL BOULEVARD AND GENERAL
<br />STREET MAINTENANCE, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously
<br />by roll call vote.
<br />CLAIMS: (1) Luella Miller, 119 Rutherford Ave, for personal injuries alleged to have
<br />been caused by fall on City's sidewalk; (2) Eleanor M. Green, 1341 Rosewood Ave.,
<br />San Carlos, for personal injuries alleged to have been caused by fall on City's
<br />sidewalk; (3) Olga Ghent, 620 Hopkins Ave., for personal injuries alleged to
<br />have been caused by fall on City's sidewalks; (4) Robert E. and Dorothy E.
<br />Seely, 829 Canyon Rd., for property damages alleged to have been caused by
<br />sewer back-up; (5) joseph Fuller, 155 Gardena Way, Palo Alto, for personal
<br />damages alleged to have been caused from allegation of false arrest; (6) Mrs.
<br />C. Boicelli, 3107 Alameda de las Pulgas, Menlo Park, for property damages
<br />alleged to have been caused by sewer back-up at property owned at 807-09
<br />Fulton Street; (7) Mrs. Margarita G. U. Montoro, 1618 Peck Avenue, San Mateo,
<br />for personal injuries alleged to have been caused by fall on City sidewalk;
<br />(8) Ruth Anderson, 297 Stagehand Dr., San Jose, personal injuries alleged to
<br />have been caused by fall on City sidewalk - denied and referred to insurance
<br />carrier on motion of Councilman Petersen, seconded by Councilman Keckley and
<br />carried. (MINUTE ORDERS #66-195 A through H)
<br />CLAIMS: Nos. 57730 through 58960, totaling $443, 811.35, were approved on motion
<br />of Councilman Rosselli, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried,
<br />COMMUNICATIONS: (Copies of which were previously submitted to Council)
<br />Grateful acknowledgment of tribute paid by Council to C. W. Currie from Mrs.
<br />Currie and family.
