<br /> 1 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL PLANNING AND <br /> REDEVELOPMENT CONSULTING SERVICES <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~day of -¥' <br />2004, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"), the REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a political subdivision of the State of California <br />("Agency") and BRUCE W. LlEDSTRAND, doing business as LlEDSTRAND <br />ASSOCIATES ("Contractor"). <br /> WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, Agency requires professional consulting services with respect to <br />proposals for revitalization and redevelopment of City's downtown area; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor represents that Contractor has managerial and <br />consulting experience and expertise regarding City's and Agency's requirements; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br />1. CONTRACTOR'S SERVICES. City and Agency hereby retain Contractor <br />to perform, and Contractor agrees to perform, the services and tasks set forth in the <br />Scope of Work described in Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and incorporated by <br />reference. It is understood and agreed that Contractor is a one-person professional <br />firm, and shall provide only overall coordination of City staff and consultants to <br />accomplish the Scope of Work. All work shall be performed as a consultant to, and <br />under the general supervision of the City Manager. <br />2. COMPENSATION; EXPENSES; PAYMENT.
