DES.ek 1/31/68 <br />RE S O L U T I O N N 0. � <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY <br />OF RED,POOD CITY AND ORDERING SUBMISSION THEREOF TO THE <br />ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AT THE GENERAL <br />MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ON APRIL 9, 1968 <br />2/12/'V- <br />ORIGINAL <br />/12/'ORIGINAL <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City does <br />hereby propose, on its own motion, that those certain amendments <br />hereinafter set forth be made to the Charter of the City of Redwood <br />City, and does hereby order that such proposed Charter amendments <br />be submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at the <br />general municipal election to be held in the City of Redwood City <br />on Tuesday, April 9, 1968. <br />(a) All persons qualified to vote at the general municipal <br />election in the City of Redwood City on April 9, 1968, shall be <br />qualified to vote on the proposed Charter amendments submitted <br />at said general municipal election. <br />(b) The polls shall be opened at seven o'clock a.m. (P.S.T.) <br />of said day of election and shall be kept open continuously there- <br />after until eight o'clock p.m. (P.S.T.) of said day of election, <br />when the polls shall be closed (except as provided in Section 14436 <br />of the Elections Code), and the election officers shall thereupon <br />proceed to canvass the ballots cast thereat. <br />(c) where ballots are used at said general municipal election, <br />then to vote for the Charter amendments proposed herein, stamp <br />a cross (X) in the blank space to the right of the word "YES"; <br />and to vote against any such proposed Charter amendment, stamp a <br />cross (X) in the blank space to the right of the word "NO." On <br />absent voter ballots the cross (X) may be marked with pen or pencil. <br />Where voting, machines are used at such general municipal <br />
