DES.ek 1/31/68 RE S O L U T I O N N 0. � RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROPOSING CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF RED,POOD CITY AND ORDERING SUBMISSION THEREOF TO THE ELECTORS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AT THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON APRIL 9, 1968 2/12/'V- ORIGINAL /12/'ORIGINAL BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby propose, on its own motion, that those certain amendments hereinafter set forth be made to the Charter of the City of Redwood City, and does hereby order that such proposed Charter amendments be submitted to the electors of the City of Redwood City at the general municipal election to be held in the City of Redwood City on Tuesday, April 9, 1968. (a) All persons qualified to vote at the general municipal election in the City of Redwood City on April 9, 1968, shall be qualified to vote on the proposed Charter amendments submitted at said general municipal election. (b) The polls shall be opened at seven o'clock a.m. (P.S.T.) of said day of election and shall be kept open continuously there- after until eight o'clock p.m. (P.S.T.) of said day of election, when the polls shall be closed (except as provided in Section 14436 of the Elections Code), and the election officers shall thereupon proceed to canvass the ballots cast thereat. (c) where ballots are used at said general municipal election, then to vote for the Charter amendments proposed herein, stamp a cross (X) in the blank space to the right of the word "YES"; and to vote against any such proposed Charter amendment, stamp a cross (X) in the blank space to the right of the word "NO." On absent voter ballots the cross (X) may be marked with pen or pencil. Where voting, machines are used at such general municipal
