R E S O L U T I O N <br />N o. 5627 <br />DES:yc:2/29/68 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 102 HEMLOCK <br />AVENUE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE A PUBLIC <br />NUISANCE, DIRECTING THE OWNER TO ABATE SAID NUISANCE, <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING AN ACTION TO <br />GAIN POSSESSION AND OTHERWISE ENFORCE SAID ABATEMENT, <br />AND ORDERING THE EXPENSE OF ABATEMENT TO BE MADE A <br />LIEN UPON THE LAND IN THE EVENT THE NUISANCE IS NOT <br />ABATED BY THE OWNER <br />WHEREAS, the Building Inspector of the City of Redwood City <br />has initiated proceedings pursuant to the provisions of Article II, <br />of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City with respect <br />to the structure located at 102 Hemlock Avenue in the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of a hearing has been given in accordance <br />with Section 9.7 of Article II of Chapter 9 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has conducted a hearing and heard <br />testimony concerning the condition of said structure and the <br />estimated costs of abatement by repair, construction or removal <br />in accordance with the provisions of Section 9.8 of Article II <br />of Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby finds that the occupied wooden <br />structure located on Lots 7, 8 and 9, Block G, Boyd and Kent <br />Addition, at 102 Hemlock Avenue, Redwood City, California, is <br />so dilapidated through old age, neglect, misuse, deterioration <br />and decay as to be dangerous to the public, unsafe, untenant- <br />able, a health hazard, a fire hazard, and to constitute a public <br />nuisance. <br />This Council further finds that said structure is structurally <br />
