Av.2 g <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF <br />UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS FOR DOWNTOWN AREA UNDER GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT 1, 2, 3-65 (PROJECT UNIT NO. U-1); <br />REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF CONTRACT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 5588, adopted January 22, <br />1968, the City Clerk called for bids for the construction of <br />utility improvements for the downtown area in the City of Redwood <br />City, in connection with General Improvement District 1, 2, 3-65, <br />under Project Unit No. U-1 of said improvement district; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, GREAT WESTERN PIPELINE CO., INC., San Jose, <br />California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the <br />intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said <br />Great Western Pipeline Co., Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Great Western Pipeline Co., Inc., in the <br />total amount of Five Hundred Fifty-nine Thousand Five Hundred <br />Eighty-seven and 35/100 Dollars ($559,587.35), more or less, <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated February 28, <br />1968, for the construction of utility improvements for the down- <br />town area in the City of Redwood City, in connection with General <br />Improvement District 1, 2, 3-65, under Project Unit No. U-1 of <br />said improvement district, according to plans and specifications <br />therefor, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />
