RESOLUTION NO. 12117 <br /> DES:djk 01/04/94 (020/37) <br /> DES:d Ol/lO/94R <br /> o RIG I N A L 1/ 10/94 <br /> RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 12117 <br /> ---------- <br /> RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDING AT 3456 ROLISON ROAD AS <br /> A PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING ABATEMENT THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Official of the City of Redwood City has <br />determined that that certain vacant building, a former apartment <br />complex, located at 3456 Rolison Road (Assessors Parcel Number <br />[ II APN II ] 055-041-260) Redwood City, is a public nuisance as defined <br />by Section 9.5 of the Code of the City of Redwood City in that it <br />has become manifestly unsafe for the purpose for which it was <br />intended to be used; has been vacant in excess of two years; has <br />become unfit for human occupancy and is unsanitary because of <br />inadequate maintenance, dilapidation, decay and damage; has been <br />maintained in violation of specific regulatory requirements and <br />prohibitions applicable thereto and constitutes a dangerous building <br />and fire hazard as those terms are described in Section 9.5 of the <br />Code of the City of Redwood City and endangers the life, health, <br />property and safety of the public; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Official has given notice to the owner of <br />said building to appear before this Council to show cause, if any, <br />why said building should not be declared a public nuisance and <br />abated in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Code of <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 10, 1994, hearing was held on the question <br />of the condition of said structure and the estimated costs of its <br />reconstruction, repair or removal, at which hearing the Building <br />Official, the owner of said building and all others interested in <br />the matter testified or were given the opportunity to testify; and <br />
