<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> 10/14/96 <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE REDWOOD CITY - SAN MATEO COUNTY <br />CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ¡st-, day of <br />~ , 199;' by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a <br />municipal corporation of the State of California (hereinafter referred to as "City") and the <br />REDWOOD CITY - SAN MATEO COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (hereinafter <br />referred to as "Chamber"): <br /> WIT N E S S T H: <br />WHEREAS, Chamber has requested City to provide moneys during the Fiscal Year <br />July 1, 1996 - June 30, 1997 for the maintenance and improvement ofthe economy ofthe <br />City of Redwood City by the general promotion and development of local industry and <br />commerce in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, City has determined that the promotion and development of the <br />industrial and commercial economy of the City of Redwood City is vital to the present and <br />future well-being of all segments of the City of Redwood City, is in the public interest, and <br />benefits the entire community; <br />NOW THEREFORE, it is hereby agreed as follows: <br />1. Promotion and Economic Development <br />(a) City shall pay Chamber Thirty Thousand and No/lOO Dollars ($30,000.00) <br />during the period July 1, 1996 and June 30, 1997. <br />(b) Chamber agrees to expend all moneys received from City pursuant to <br />subparagraph (a) for the sole and exclusive purpose of maintaining and expanding the <br />economy of the City of Redwood City and increasing the prosperity and well-being of all <br />segments of the community by operation of Civic/Community Promotion and Economic <br />Development programs; and further agrees that none of the moneys received from City <br /> - <br />
