<br /> ORIGI NAL <br /> (11/06/95) <br /> AGREEMENT <br />This agreement, made and entered into this _~___day of <br />~ ce r^-~-J , 1995, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City"), and the Child Care Coordinating Council of San <br />Mateo County, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor";. <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: , <br />WHEREAS, Contractor is a non-profit corporation of the State of California, and desires <br />to participate in and assist the effort of the City of Redwood City in promoting and guiding the <br />implementation of a community wide plan to provide child care services to Redwood City <br />children; and <br />WHEREAS, City desires to participate in said program by contributing financial <br />assistance to aid Contractor in providing the above mentioned services to residents of the City of <br />Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has represented to City that it is qualified and experienced to <br />perform such services; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements herein set <br />forth, the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows: <br />1. CONTRACTOR'S STATUS. In the performance of the obligations set forth in this <br />agreement, Contractor shall have the status of an independent Contractor and in no sense shall <br />Contractor be considered to be an employee of City. <br />2. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PURPOSE. Contractor shall use the monies paid hereunder in <br />furtherance of, and for the advancement of its program for furnishing human services to needy <br />residents of the City as specified in paragraph 9. Contractor shall coordinate its activities with <br />similar programs conducted by the City or other organizations as determined by City. <br /> -...". <br />
