Stangel <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />CALL TO ORDER - 7:30 p.m., Mayor Claire presiding <br />February 1, 1988 <br />7:30 p.m. <br />Councilmen present: Britschgi, Bury, Chandler, Greenalch, LaBerge, Stangel and <br />Mayor Claire <br />Councilmen absent: None <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Hildebrand and Pawloski, <br />Patterson, LaTorra, Schroedl, Sennewald, Hamilton, <br />O'Brien <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - Councilwoman LaBerge <br />INVOCATION - Pastor Huston Green <br />United Methodist Church <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES - Executive Session 1/25/88 <br />Joint Meeting 1/25/88 <br />City Council 1/25/88 <br />Executive Session 1/28/88 <br />M /S: Chandler / Britschgi to approve the subject Minutes as submitted. <br />Carried unanimously by voice vote, Councilman Stangel abstaining. <br />WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br />17. Letter fromn American Youth Soccer Organization of <br />Redwood City requesting donation of $5,000 toward <br />costs for 20 players to participate in cultural <br />exchange program in Frankfurt, Germany <br />There being no objection, Mayor Claire ordered that Item 17 be considered out <br />of order at this time. <br />Gaile Molnar, 2563 Briarfield, American Youth Soccer (AYSO) in Redwood City, <br />referred to the subject letter of January 11, 1988 distributed additional <br />information to Council members and stated that 17 boys and five adults, <br />including the coaches, plan to make the trip to Germany.
