REDWOOD SHORES TAXI SHUTTLE VENDOR AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, dated ~ ~'~~ (~ ,~y and between <br />YELLOW CAB COMPANY, PENINSULA, INC. ("VENDOR") and the City of <br />Redwood City ("CITY"), is made with reference to the following facts: <br /> <br /> The City of Redwood City ('CITY"), the'San Mateo County Transportation <br /> District, the Peninsula Congestion Relief Alliance, and the San Mateo <br /> County/Redwood City Chamber of Commerce desire to encourage city <br /> residents living in the Redwood Shores area of Redwood City to use <br /> Caltrain as their regular commute mode by supporting a peak-period, on- <br /> demand taxi shuttle service ("TAXI SERVICE") linking the residential area <br /> of Redwood Shores, as delineated on the map attached hereto, marked <br /> Attachment "A," and incorporated by this reference, to the San Carlos and <br /> Belmont Caltrain stations. <br /> <br />B. The CITY has retained the services of AMBER Technologies & Consulting <br /> ("AMBER"), a Transportation Demand Management consulting firm <br /> licensed in California, to design, implement and manage this Taxi Service <br /> during the initial twelve-month pilot phase. <br /> <br />C. CITY desires to contract with YELLOW CAB COMPANY, PENINSULA, <br /> INC. ("VENDOR"), to provide taxi rides to qualified residents of Redwood <br /> Shores who have registered for the program ("PARTICIPANTS") and been <br /> issued a Personal Identification Number ("PIN NUMBER") <br /> <br />D. VENDOR is prepared, manned and equipped to provide this residential <br /> TAXI SERVICE. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />A. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VENDOR: <br /> <br /> Insurance. Operator shall procure and maintain the following kinds of <br /> liability insurance which shall include as additional insured the City of <br /> Redwood City, AMBER Technologies & Consulting, Peninsula <br /> Corridor Joint Powers Board ("JPB") and the San Mateo County <br /> Transit District ("SAMTRANS"), and their respective directors, <br /> officers, officials, employees and agents while acting in such <br /> capacity, and their successors or assignees, as they now or as they <br /> may hereafter be constituted, singly, jointly or severally; <br /> <br /> Sh/rwc/cotmcil <br /> Agmt-500 <br /> FXS/fs <br /> 07/12/01 <br /> - 7 ', '?/( '. <br /> <br /> <br />
