ORIGINAL - <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, <br /> <br /> ~ CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE REDWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT <br /> REGARDING CONSTRUCTION, ESTABLIStlMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF PLAYING <br /> FIELDS AT TAFT AND GARFIELD SCHOOLS <br /> <br /> This Agreement is made this _.~day of /'[/0t, r_x~ ~'~ ,1999, by and between the <br />County of San Mateo ("County"), the City of Redwood City ("City"), and the Redwood City School <br />District, a public school district in the County of San Mateo ("District"). <br /> <br /> RECITALS <br /> <br /> A. District is the owner of certain real property located within the County of San Mateo, <br />State of California. The property consists of portions of the sites of two elementary schools, to wit: <br />Garfield (3.17 acres) and Taft (2.71 acres), hereafter referred to collectively as "the property," which <br />will be used by the parties to repair, restore, design, establish and maintain playing fields at the school <br />sites. <br /> <br /> B. County, City and District have determined that the property would be an appropriate site <br /> <br />for the playing fields, and wish to cooperate in the restoration, repair, design, establishment, and <br />maintenance of the playing fields, as set forth herein. <br /> <br /> C. The total estimated cost for the repair, restoration, design (including architectural and <br /> <br />engineering drawings) and establishment of the fields is $1,833,379, broken down as follows: Tatt field, <br />$733,379; and Garfield field, $1,100,000. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, County, City and District agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1.
