Mosher <br />Bill Rhodes <br /> <br />Board of Supervisors Chambers <br />401 Marshall Street <br /> <br />November 7, 1983 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City met on this date at 6:30 p.m. <br />with Chairman Stangel presiding. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Directors present: <br />Directors absent: <br /> <br />Biagi, Britschgi, Bury, Claire, Mosher, and Mayor Stangel <br /> <br />Rhodes <br /> <br />Officials and staff present: Smith, Schricker, Tasseff, Hildebrand and Addiego, <br />Schroeter, Griffith, Vollmayer, Mott, O'Brien <br /> <br />GENERAL <br /> <br />Report of City Manager 10/27/83 <br />City Manager Smith briefly described the four areas of the Redevelopment Plan. <br /> <br />Planning Director Schroeter described the "Centre" Redevelopment area and referred <br />to wall maps and overhead projections of the site. <br /> <br />William Lightner, Jr., spokesman for Sunderhaus & Leigh Properties, San Francisco, <br />the managing general partner of City Center Development Company which was formed <br />to work with the city on the redevelopment area. Mr. Lightner said that the <br />proposed masterplan is being presented, and the proposed development would be in <br />phases and not disruptive to the City. Mr. Lightner introduced the members of his <br />development team: Dennis L. Sunderhaus of Sunderhaus & Leigh, Rodney Friedman and <br />Ron Higgins of Fisher Friedman A.I.A., Warren McNely of Linquist/McNely and Hubert <br />Brugger of Brugger Corporation of Redwood City. <br /> <br />Rodney Friedman, architect, Fisher Friedman, 242 California Street, San Francisco, <br />commented on the desirability of revitalizing the city core using redevelopmment <br />as part of the plan to develop full 24-hour use of the downtown area with housing <br />and commercial development.
