ORIGINAL AGREEMENT WITH KAlNOS HOME & TRAINING CENTER FOR FUNDING FOR CHANTAL WAY TRIPLEX IMPROVEMENTS ~ AG R EEM ENT. made and entered into this d \ ~ay of 01 Jfl/\, 2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City"), and KAlNOS HOME & TRAINING CENTER, a California nonprofit corporation ("Contractor"). WITNESSETH: WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 92 for the HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), funding assistance may be used to fund eligible activities to be carried out by private non-profit entities or public agencies which are duly organized to undertake affordable rental housing development; and WHEREAS, the City's Consolidated Plan and Housing Element goals include expanding the supply of affordable housing for persons with disabilities; and WHEREAS, Kainos Home & Training Center, a non profit organization, has applied for funding assistance under the CDBG and HOME Program for funding to renovate and repair the Chantal Way Triplex, an affordable residential housing facility for 20 developmentally disabled adults located at 1209 Chantal Way in the City of Redwood City, and WHEREAS, the following exhibit is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference: Exhibit A: Program Services & Budget NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES AS FOLLOWS: 1. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED Contractor, under the general direction of the Housing Coordinator or her authorized representative, shall perform services as described in Exhibit "A" in consideration of the payments and work shall be performed pursuant to hereinafter set forth in Exhibit "A." 9/11/03 ---.
