<br />DES:djk ()7/13/93 <br /> <br />(054/32) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />7/26/93 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12020 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE STREET <br />TREE MAINTENANCE PROJECT 1993-94; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 11964, adopted April 19, <br /> <br />1993, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Comprehensive <br /> <br />Street Tree Maintenance Project 1993-94; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />advertisement, <br /> <br />four <br /> <br />bids <br /> <br />were <br /> <br />received for the performance of said work and filed with the City <br /> <br />Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Golden <br /> <br />Bear <br /> <br />Arborists, <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Monrovia, <br /> <br />California, <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />lowest <br /> <br />responsible <br /> <br />bidder <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />it <br /> <br />lS <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />intention and desire of this Council to accept thé bid of said <br /> <br />bidder; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The bid of Golden Bear Arborists, Inc., setting forth <br /> <br />hourly rates stated in said bidder's proposal dated May 10, 1993, <br /> <br />for the Comprehensive Street Tree Maintenance Project 1993-94, is <br /> <br />hereby accepted, said hourly rates are hereby expressly accepted <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />purposes <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />determining <br /> <br />actual <br /> <br />compensation <br /> <br />under <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />agreement, <br /> <br />subject <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />maximum <br /> <br />limitation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />expenditures <br /> <br />thereunder <br /> <br />of One Hundred Ninety Thousand <br /> <br />and No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars <br /> <br />($190,000.00), and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br />
