<br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />JAH:dft Q¡08/93 (003/36) <br />~ ~2/ 93R <br />9/27/93 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />12081 <br /> <br />---------- -- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO ABANDON PORTION OF FRANKLIN <br />STREET SUBJECT TO RESERVATION OF A PUBLIC SERVICE <br />EASEMENT THEREIN, AND TO ABANDON A STORM WATER <br />EASEMENT AND A SEWER AND WATER EASEMENT; SETTING TIME <br />AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR <br />OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATIONS AND RESERVATION; <br />AND ORDERING GIVING OF NOTICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />as a part of the implementation of the Sequoia <br /> <br />Station Project by <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Redevelopment Agency <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the City <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Redwood City certain property lines have been eliminated and <br /> <br />certain vehicular traffic patterns have been altered, <br /> <br />thereby <br /> <br />eliminating the need for those certain public street and public <br />easements hereinafter described; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of Franklin Street heretofore dedicated <br /> <br />as a public street no longer is needed for present or prospective <br /> <br />public street purposes, provided that a public service easement <br />be reserved within the former street right of way; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />two <br /> <br />easements <br /> <br />located within <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />site <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />Sequoia Station Proj ect, <br /> <br />to wit, <br /> <br />a five-feet wide stormwater <br /> <br />easement and a seven-feet wide <br /> <br />sewer and water easement, <br /> <br />no <br /> <br />longer are needed for present or prospective public utility or <br /> <br />service purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />intends <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />vacate <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />aforesaid <br /> <br />unnecessary <br /> <br />portion <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />Franklin <br /> <br />street <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />two <br /> <br />easements, <br /> <br />pursuant to the authority hereinafter stated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />intends <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />service <br /> <br />easement to be reserved within the right-of-way of the portion of <br /> <br />Franklin Street to be abandoned in this proceeding, <br /> <br />and the <br />
