DES:mgl07/11/91 (010/30) 0 RIG I N A L 8/12/91 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. ---------- 11582 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING REPORT OF SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS ON WEED ABATEMENT; OVERRULING PROTESTS THERETO; AND AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF THE COSTS OF ABATEMENT AGAINST THE PARTICULAR PARCELS CONCERNED ON THE 1991-92 TAX ROLL WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 11474, adopted February 11, 1991 this Council declared weeds, rubbish, dirt and rank growths in the City of Redwood City to be a nuisance, and set March 11, 1991, as the date for all objections to the proposed abatement of said public nuisance to be heard; and WHEREAS, due notice therefor having been given as required by Article IV, Chapter 14, of the Code of the City of Redwood City, and no objections having been presented to said proposed abatement, this Council acquired jurisdiction to perform the work of abating said nuisance, and by Resolution 11492, adopted March 11, 1991 ordered the Fire Marshal (acting as the Superintendent of Streets) to abate said nuisance; and WHEREAS, said Superintendent of Streets has submitted to this Council for confirmation an itemized report of the cost of the abatement by spraying and disking of weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths from or abutting each separate parcel of land from which weeds, dirt, rubbish and rank growths were removed, and a list of the expenses proposed to be assessed against said parcels for said abatement; and WHEREAS, said report or appropriate portions thereof has or have been posted and notice of the time and place of hearing thereon has been given pursuant Section 14.48 of the Code of the City of Redwood; and n^^,__---..-T.""
