<br />nES:c~ 7/17/91 (005/30) <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />8/12/91 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11579 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR <br />PER CAPITA GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE, <br />COASTAL, AND PARK LAND CONSERVATION ACT OF 1988 FOR <br />PROJECTS HEREIN DESCRIBED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />California Wildlife, <br /> <br />Coastal, <br /> <br />and Park Land <br /> <br />Conservation Act <br /> <br />(Public Resources Code §5900 et seq.), enacted <br /> <br />by ini tia ti ve on June 7, <br /> <br />1988, provides funds for the State of <br /> <br />California and its political subdivisions <br /> <br />for acquir ing and/ or <br /> <br />developing <br /> <br />facilities <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />public <br /> <br />recreational <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />open <br /> <br />space <br /> <br />purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the California Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />administers said Act, including establishing procedures governing <br /> <br />applications by local agencies for grant funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />procedures <br /> <br />require <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />governing <br /> <br />body <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />an applicant agency to certify by resolution the approval of an <br /> <br />application prior to submission thereof; and <br /> <br />ì.vHEREAS , <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />applications <br /> <br />contain <br /> <br />assurances <br /> <br />wi th which <br /> <br />an applicant agency must comply; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, upon approval of an application, the grantee agency <br /> <br />is <br /> <br />requested <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />enter <br /> <br />into <br /> <br />an <br /> <br />agreement <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />State <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />California <br /> <br />for the <br /> <br />acquisi tion or development of the approved <br /> <br />project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this Council has <br /> <br />reviewed an application to the <br /> <br />State of California pursuant to the California Wildlife, Coastal, <br /> <br />and Parks Land Conservation Act for funds to be used for the <br /> <br />hereinafter described projects; <br /> <br />'1---- "-'T' <br />
