<br />Z.{s: d ft <br /> <br />4/9/91 (054/29) <br />08/92R <br />6/24/91 <br /> <br />0 RIG I N A L <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />11535 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING BID DOCUMENTS AND AUTHORIZING CALL <br />FOR BIDS FOR SALE OF CERTAIN CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY, <br />DECLARING CERTAIN CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS AND <br />AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns Lots 14 and 15, Block <br /> <br />1, Farm Hill Subdivision No.5, the Map of which was filed in the <br /> <br />office of the County Recorder, <br /> <br />San Mateo County, <br /> <br />on April 7, <br /> <br />1958, in Book 48 of Maps at page 13. <br /> <br />which lots, by reason of <br /> <br />soil slippage, are distress property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has now been proposed that the above mentioned <br /> <br />Lots 14 and 15 be offered for sale pursuant. to public bid t.o the <br /> <br />highest responsible bidder and t.hat the purchase of said lots <br /> <br />shall, among other matters, agree to release the City and others <br /> <br />from any liability in connection therewith, and to hold the City <br /> <br />and others harmless and indemnify them from any and all claims <br /> <br />and/or damages which might arise therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />Council <br /> <br />has <br /> <br />received <br /> <br />evidence <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public purposes, and should be declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and <br /> <br />det.ermined <br /> <br />that <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />current <br /> <br />reasonable <br /> <br />market <br /> <br />value <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />surplus items, <br /> <br />to be sold as a unit, <br /> <br />is Three Hundred Seventy <br /> <br />Thousand Dollars ($370,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare <br /> <br />said <br /> <br />property <br /> <br />surplus <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />authorize <br /> <br />its <br /> <br />sale <br /> <br />in <br /> <br />accordance wi th Sect.ion <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />1/2 of the Charter of t.he City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; and <br />
