DES:d-lk 12/11/92 (032/34) <br /> O R I G I N A L 12/21/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11921 <br /> RESOLUTION SUSPENDING OPERATION OF SECTION 7 . 02 (b) OF <br /> SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT AND MASTER WATER SALES CONTRACT <br /> WITH THE CITY AND COUNTY OF SAN FRANCISCO FOR FISCAL <br /> YEAR 1992-1993 <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to water supply contract dated August 8 , <br /> 1984 , by and between the City and County of San Francisco ("San <br /> Francisco" ) and the City of Redwood City, which contract <br /> incorporates by reference the terms and conditions of that <br /> certain "Settlement Agreement and Master Water Supply Contract" <br /> (the "Master Agreement") between San Francisco and certain <br /> suburban purchasers (the "Suburban Purchasers") , this City <br /> obtains its potable water supply from the Hetch Hetchy water <br /> system; and <br /> WHEREAS , Section 7 . 01 of the Master Agreement provides that <br /> San Francisco shall supply to the Suburban Purchasers pursuant <br /> thereto a maximum annual average metered supply of water defined <br /> as the "Supply Assurance" ; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 7 .02 (b) of the Master Agreement provides a <br /> methodology for the allocation of the Supply Assurance among the <br /> Suburban Purchasers and, further, provides for allocation of a <br /> portion thereof designated as the "Suburban Allocable Water" ; and <br /> WHEREAS, subject to agreement between said Suburban <br /> Purchasers to the contrary, the allocation of the Supply <br /> Assurance is based upon prior water usage by individual <br /> purchasers; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 1968 , adopted May 23 , <br /> 1988 , this Council determined and declared a water shortage <br />
